Bharat Jain 

Bharat Kumar Jain, born on February 18, 1993, in Vidisha, Madhya Pradesh, is a dedicated artist and art writer whose creative journey reflects both academic excellence and artistic achievement. He pursued his B.F.A. and M.F.A. in Fine Arts at Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya, Khairagarh, Chhattisgarh, where he distinguished himself by winning four gold medals in his M.F.A. program in 2017.

Bharat’s talent has been recognized through several prestigious awards, including the Jagdish Swaminathan Award (Madhya Pradesh Rajya Roopankar Puraskar, 2019), the Pratisthana Khanderao Award by the Khanderao Art Foundation, Karnataka (2020), and the Prakash Nerula Memorial Award for Painting at the 91st All India Annual Art Exhibition by AIFACS, New Delhi (2018). He was also honored with the M.P. State Award by the Prafulla Dhanukar Art Foundation, Mumbai (2018), and received accolades at national-level exhibitions such as the 29th National Exhibition of Contemporary Art (Nagpur/Hyderabad, 2016).

Alongside his awards, Bharat’s writings and artworks have been featured in respected publications such as Pehal Patrika (2019), Kala Dirgha International Art Journal (2016), and Muse.India Literary e-Journal (2017). He also earned the Young Artists Scholarship (2017) from the CCRT under the Ministry of Culture, New Delhi.

Bharat has exhibited widely across India. His solo exhibition “Altimetry of Self” was held at Triveni Kala Sangam, New Delhi in 2019. He has also participated in notable group exhibitions, including “IKIGAI” at India Habitat Centre, Delhi (2024), “Yuva Sambhava” by the Raza Foundation (2022), “Large Format” at Surrender Paul Art Gallery, New Delhi (2022), and “Oblique” at Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi (2018). His works have been part of major national exhibitions such as those organized by Lalit Kala Akademi, Bharat Bhawan Bhopal, the Bombay Art Society, and the Indian Academy of Fine Arts, Amritsar.

In addition to exhibitions, Bharat has actively contributed to the art community through workshops and camps, including the Auroville Art Camp (Tamil Nadu, 2022), National Artist Camps by Lalit Kala Akademi in Lucknow (2021) and Ranchi (2019), and the 58th National Art Conclave in Bangalore (2017).

His works have found place in collections in London (U.K.), at IKSVV Khairagarh, and at exhibitions held by the Bombay Art Society in Mumbai.

With a career enriched by awards, publications, exhibitions, and scholarly recognition, Bharat Kumar Jain continues to shape his artistic journey with a balance of creative expression and intellectual depth, inspiring audiences across India and beyond.

Md. Anirul Islam 

Md. Anirul Islam, an accomplished contemporary artist, has steadily established himself among the notable figures in the Indian art fraternity through his discipline, dedication, and creative contributions. Born in Murshidabad, West Bengal, he pursued a strong academic foundation in both fine arts and humanities. He completed his B.F.A. in Painting from Aligarh Muslim University (2011) and went on to earn an M.F.A. in Painting from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi (2013). Prior to this, he completed the Ankan Ratna seven-year art course under Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata (2006), a one-year certificate course in Clay Modeling from AMU (2007), and a graduation in Political Science from Kalyani University, West Bengal (2005).

Anirul’s artistic excellence has been widely recognized. He is the recipient of the Junior Fellowship from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India (2011–12), and has won several awards including the Cash Award at the 96th Annual All India Art Exhibition by AIFACS (2023), the All India Art Competition and Exhibition Award (Hyderabad, 2024), and numerous honors at youth festivals across India, such as the National Youth Festival at Tirupati (2011) and the Inter-University Youth Festivals (2007, 2008). He was also recognized as the Topper of the B.F.A. Department at AMU in 2007.

His works have been exhibited at major platforms such as AIFACS, Lalit Kala Akademi, Sahitya Kala Parishad, Indian Habitat Centre, Ravi Jain Annual Competitions, and MF Husain Art Gallery (Jamia Millia Islamia). Significant exhibitions include the 95th and 96th Annual All India Art Exhibitions at AIFACS, New Delhi (2022–23), Kala Acharya Kala Pradarshni at State Lalit Kala Akademi, Lucknow (2019), Phoenix at Chitramayee State Gallery of Art, Hyderabad (2020), and Laburnum & Indigo Gallery, Cholamandal Artist Village, Chennai (2015). He has also showcased his works in group exhibitions such as the Shimla Art Festival (2023), Sattwik Soul of Art Exhibition, West Bengal (2023), and Garhi Working Artists Exhibition by Lalit Kala Akademi (2018).

In addition to exhibitions, Anirul has been an active participant in art camps and workshops across the country. He has contributed to the National Art Festival in Gangtok (2017), wall painting projects at Pawalgarh Conservation Reserve, Uttarakhand (2017), the Taj Bibi and Raskhan Chitrankan Camps by State Lalit Kala Akademi, Lucknow (2022), as well as numerous workshops organized by National Bal Bhavan, New Delhi, where he also serves as an appointed artist. His experience includes diverse training, from photography and lino-cut printmaking workshops to collaborative camps with institutions like Safdarjung Hospital, National Book Trust, and South Asian University.

Beyond his artistic practice, Anirul has also contributed as a jury member for competitions and events organized by esteemed institutions such as the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Lok Sabha Secretariat, Ministry of Women and Child Development, and Indian Council for Child Welfare.

With his sustained dedication, academic rigor, and consistent presence in national platforms, Md. Anirul Islam continues to shape a distinguished career in the field of fine arts, blending tradition with contemporary thought and inspiring the next generation of artists.
